RAPPORT ANNUEL DES ACTIVITES REALISEES EN 2024
Le présent rapport narratif décrit les différentes activités réalisées par l’APDWA-asbl au cours de l’année 2024. Dans la poursuite de nos objectifs et notre plan d’action 2024, nos activités ont porté sur différents points dont (1) la paix et la transformation des conflits, (2) la protection de l’environnement, (3) l’accompagnement psycho-social, (4) l’éducation, santé et protection et (5) l’agriculture et le relèvement socio-économique et (6) le renforcement organisationnel. Ces activités ont été réalisées sur le terrain principalement à Bunyakiri (territoire de Kalehe), à Bukavu (notre siège) en province du Sud-Kivu et partiellement à Goma, Nord-Kivu.

LEAFLET OF ACTIVITIES CARRIED OUT IN 2024
Acting for Peace, Development and Well-being for All (A.P.D.W.A) is a non-governmental organisation under Congolese law, legally registered in the DRC, to promote peace, human and environmental rights, sustainable development and conservation of the environment. We work to contribute to the well-being of our communities at the local level in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

APDWA’s Srategic Plan 2024-2028
This strategic plan defines the priority areas of intervention and the actions that will guide the pursuit of our vision, mission and objectives during the next five years 2024- 2028. It has been developed and adopted by APDWA members in the general assembly held in Bukavu from the 6th to the 9th of December, 2023.

2024 Action Plan – APDWA
The present action plan for this year 2024 is derived from the five-year strategic plan (2024-2028) of APDWA developed and validated by the organization in December 2023 in Bukavu, DRC. This plan determines the activities to be carried out during this year 2024 according to the priority areas of intervention of the organization.

APDWA – Participation in the Global Training Program for Peacebuilding and Development – Japan
The Program for Global Human Resource Development for Peacebuilding and Development (Global Peacebuilders Program) is established by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan (MOFA) in order to strengthen civilian capacity for peacebuilding and development. The Hiroshima Peacebuilders Center (HPC), commissioned by MOFA, implements the program in cooperation with the United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme.

Community awareness-raising on the promotion of human and environmental rights and education
We raise awareness and educate community members (leaders including women, youth and local media) on the promotion of human and environmental rights in South Kivu, Democratic Republic of the Congo. Each of these layers of the society has a role to play in promoting rights in general and in Conservation in particular. Primarily, we work to ensure that Conservation respects human rights – communities rights and that decision-makers recognize the role played by communities in conservation. Promotion of sustainable agriculture (diversified plants) and land restoration
Since the year 2023, Acting for Peace, Development and Well-being for All (APDWA) has been working to promote sustainable agriculture in Bunyakiri/Kalehe, South-Kivu, DRC. More than 6000 seeds of cocoa trees have been distributed for free of charge to ± 300 farmers in Hombo, Irangi, Mukowa, Mashere, Makwe, Kabenga, in Bunyakiri/Kalehe territory.
